| Students - Applications are now available in
the Band Room for the 2008 McQueen Band Parents
Association Scholarship. This scholarship is for our
Graduation Seniors and everyone is welcome to apply. The winner(s) will
be announced during Awards Night. Please turn in your applications no
later than 05/20/08. Good Luck! |
| Students - Section
Leader Applications for 2008/2009 are now available in the Band
Room. McQueen has a history of exceptional leadership so if you think
you have what it takes...go for it! Applications must be turned in no
later than 05/20/08. Section leaders will be announced at Awards Night.

All 2007/2008 Fees for McQueen Band Students
whether it be Fall Season, Percussion, Winter Guard, Jazz Band (TBA), etc
are past due and must be paid in full no later than
6/4/08. If you need more time you
MUST contact Kaylynn Eudy at the Band Room 775/746-5818 as soon as
possible to make acceptable payment arrangements. If she does not
answer please leave a message for her to return your call. If payment is
not made in full and/or if acceptable payments arrangements are not made and
kept, your Band Student will not be able to register for school for the fall
2008 season until payment is made in full. Thank You! |

Pancake Feed Fundraiser Saturday
5/10/08 @ Grace
Community Church on Robb Drive. This is a great way to celebrate
Mothers Day! Tell all your friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family
about this one. There will be a raffle with great prizes. We
will be selling beautiful flowers also. The charge is $5.00 per person $3.00 for children under
5. Breakfast will be served from
7am through 11am. Please contact Criss Matossian @ 747-6192 to
volunteer for this event. Setup is at 5:30am. Spread
the word people!

Show and Shine Fundraiser Saturday 5/17/08 with BBQ
and Band to perform! Yeah baby...what a day! Gather all your car
loving friends and have a blast at this event.
There will be a raffle with great prizes (one is a $900.00 set of tires
generously donated by Les Schwab) and we will be selling beautiful flowers for
the ladies! $5.00 donation for a great lunch! The event will be held at Gilsons Auto Body 2201 Glendale Ave Sparks from10am-4pm.
Audi, BMW, and Porsche clubs will be present with 100 plus cars in
attendance. What a day!

Awards Night is Tuesday 05/27/08 in the
McQueen Cafeteria and this is a big night for all our Band Students! We
encourage all our Students and their families to attend this Special Night.
Dinner will start at 6:30pm and this is a potluck of sorts so all students are
asked to pitch in and bring a dish as follows:
Freshmen - dessert
Sophomores - hor d'oeuvres
Juniors - fruit salad
Seniors - hot or cold vegetable dish
(please bring enough to feed 10)
Please make sure the food arrives no later than 6:15pm in the cafeteria.
Please dress nice as this is a Grand Night! All our students will be
recognized for their achievements and there will be very special awards for
outstanding leadership and musicianship. |

Scrapbooking Fundraiser Saturday 06/14/08 @
Treasured Memories and More Sparks NV. This will be an absolutely
fantastic day! Tell all your friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family
about this one. There will be a raffle with great prizes. The sign up fee
is now $40.00.
Again, the event is all day 6/14/08 10am-10pm with lunch and dinner provided.
